Kenzhegul Seitzhan appointed as Ombudsman for Rights of Socially Vulnerable Groups of Population
By a presidential decree, Kenzhegul Seitzhan has been appointed Ombudsman for the Rights of Socially Vulnerable Groups of Population, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Akorda press service.

Born on July 29, 1982, Kenzhegul Seitzhan is a native of Kostanay region.
In 2003, he graduated from Almaty-based Special Boarding School #4 for Visually Impaired Children.
In 2007, he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Fundamentals of Law from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
From 2008 to 2009, he underwent Social Leadership Program in Japan, and from 2011 to 2013, he learned the English Language at the City University of New York.
In 2015, he obtains a master’s degree in Education Leadership and Management at the University of Reading in England.
Kenzhegul Seitzhan is the participant of the world alpinism championships (2016, 2019). He is the champion of Kazakhstan in goalball (2017, 2019), champion of the national goalball cup (2020-2022), champion of the national paracycling competition (2011-2022), and bronze medalist of the Asian Para-Cycling Championship (2022).
He is ranked 13th in the UCI Para-Cycling Rating.
Kenzhegul Seitzhan began his career as a teacher of History at the Secondary School No 7 in Almaty in 2007.
From 2017 to 2022, he supervised social programs at the Meyirim Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children.
In 2016, he joined the National Goalball Federation as the Secretary General, and held this position for 5 years.
From 2019 to 2021, he was the Vice President of the Kazakhstan Federation of Para Cycling.
Since 2022, he has been the President of the Astana Goalball Federation.
From 2021 to 2023, he was the President of the Kazakhstan Para-Cycling Federation.
In March 2023, he was elected the deputy of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament of the VIII convocation, member of the People’s Party of Kazakhstan faction.
