ASTANA. KAZINFORM Chief Banker of Kazakhstan Kairat Kelimbetov has denied speculations concerning possible devaluation of the national currency of Kazakhstan, tenge.

"No devaluation is expected in Kazakhstan, these are just rumours," he told answering the questions of journalists during the briefing at the Central Communications Service. "The oil prices remain high. The ruble is gaining strength, but even if it devalues to some extent, it doesn't frighten us. We have sufficient underlying strength. There are no premises for devaluation," he resumed.
