KEGOK Head reports to Kazakh President on company's activity

K. Bozumbayev reported on the results of the company's work over seven months of 2009, plans of its further development and perspective investment projects in the sphere of electric energy. He also informed of completion of the construction of a large infrastructural project - an interregional 500 kV High-Voltage Line North - South of Kazakhstan. The line was tested on August 21, 2009. Thus the company fulfilled the President's task on realization of a breakthrough project, which will double energy supply to the central and southern regions of the state.

The President of KEGOK told the line would be launched at Ekibastuzskaya-1150 substation in Ekibastuz town in September. It is symbolic that 30 years ago N. Nazarbayev attended the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the substation.
