«KazTransOil» plans purchasing Kashagan field gas

ASTANA. August 18. KAZINFORM — "KazTransOil" is planning to buy associated gas of Kashagan oil field in Atyrau region after beginning of the pilot development of the deposit.
In accordance with information from the press service of the company, a contract on gas purchase between "KazTransGas" and the oil consortium developing the Kashagan field should be signed by the end of this month. It is assumed that the Kazakh national gas operator will buy up to 83 percent of Kashagan gas then selling it in the domestic market.
