KazTransGaz Aimak publicly reported on gas transportation in 2012
The event was attended by representatives of the Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies (NMRA), Aktobe region administration, consumers and the media.
"Over the past period, transportation and distribution of gas pipelines of the company grew by 10.7% to 5,719 billion cubic meters. Total length of distribution and transmission pipelines in service of "ҚazTransGaz Aimaқ" JSC over the past year increased from 18,778 km. up to 23,509 km. " said the director of Department of Economics and Tariff A.Ahmetshina.
In November 2012 the company (KTGA) has started to transportation and delivery of natural gas to consumers of Atyrau region according to former regional tariffs for gas.
On 1 January 2013 the number of subscribers who are legal persons grew to 16,286. Number of customers, individuals, reached 894,964 people (17% growth).
Capital investment of the company last year rose from 7,555 billion tenge to 10,870 billion. In 2012 KTGA successfully implemented the investment project and put into operation a high-pressure gas line called "Kordai-Shu" with power of 462 million cubic meters per year in Zhambyl region. Commissioning of a new gas pipeline took place on December 25 last year at the national teleconference to launch industrial projects with the participation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In 2012 "ҚazTransGaz Aimaқ" JSC started to work on modernization of the 900-km network of gas pipelines of Taraz, the results of which will enhance its capacity by 1.5 times to 150.5 thousand cubic meters per hour.
"The main objectives of the investment program is to increase the capacity of distribution and transmission pipelines, improving the reliability of gas supply system, ensuring trouble-free and safe operation of pipelines, reducing the regulatory and excessive losses," said Deputy General Director of the company Galim Aidosov.
The company currently is selling commercial gas to all consumer categories: public, industrial and utility companies, budgetary organizations in eight regions of Kazakhstan.
In accordance with the Government Resolution № 939 as of September 14, 2010 "ҚazTransGaz Aimaқ" JSC will continue working at adoption of the balance of gas distribution networks owned by state-owned utilities, expanding the geography of transportation and supply of gas.
The company also plans to produce full gasification of settlements in Zhambyl, Kyzylorda and South Kazakhstan regions.
