KazMunayGas reports net income of KZT 430 bln

ASTANA. December 25. KAZINFORM Net profit of JSC "KazMunayGas" for 11 months of 2012 amounted to KZT 430.8 billion, managing director of JSC "Samruk Kazyna" Malik Salimgereyev told a briefing on the development and operation of the company on Tuesday in Astana.
According to him, oil and gas production totaled 19.5 million tons, oil refining - 14.4 million tons, oil transportation - 71 million tons, gas transportation - 97.2 billion cubic meters.
The total income for the 11 months amounted to KZT 2 884.9 billion, of which net income was KZT 430.8 billion, he added.
Managing Director focused on the investment projects of the company. Among them, he pointed out modernization of Atyrau refinery, "Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent" gas pipeline, project on the supply of gas to Astana and northern regions of the country, and the construction of the North Caspian Oil Spills Response Environmental Base.
