KazMunaiGas supports national machine-building enterprises

The event was attended by the representatives of more than 60 engineering companies of the country among which there are Ust-Kamenogorsk Valve Plant, Petropavlovsk Heavy Engineering Plant, Western Kazakhstan Engineering Company, the "Belkamit" plant, the Caspian Machinery complex, the "Munaimash" plant, "Neftegazmash", "Munaiaspap", «TREI-Karaganda", "Karashungil" and many others. There were discussed the prospects of the domestic oil and gas engineering, new areas and forms of cooperation between mechanical engineers and KazMunaigas subsidiary companies.

As noted by Bolat Tashmetov, the Director of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, "KazMunaiGas" JSC, owing to the elaborated program in 1997 of oil and gas engineering promotion in Kazakhstan, many domestic companies at that time were able to overcome the crisis period and found a "second wind".

Today KMG has solved the tasks on increasing the national content in the oil and gas projects being one of the main consumers of Kazakhstan Engineering products. Last year the company spent KZT 36 billion (tenge) for purchasing local vendors' products. A year earlier the figure made KZT 33 billion.

At the meeting it has been mentioned that KMG will continue to support competitiveness recovery of local mechanical-engineering enterprises, establishment of new types of products and introduction of advanced scientific research into the industry.
