Kazkosmos delegation attends Int'l ecological forum in Cyprus

Since October 5 the city of Limassol has been hosting the VIII International Forum on Ecological Safety of the Mediterranean region INTERECOLOGY-2010 chaired by world-famous pilot of Russia and Kazakhstan, Head of Kazkosmos of Kazakhstan Talgat Mussabayev.

As one of the organizers of the Forum, Director of Ineko Technology LTD, Ilya Spektor told, the first ecological forum INTERECOLOGY and INAVES International Aviation and Space Salon took place in 2003 under the patronage of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in this country. Since that time the Forum has grown significantly and today its agenda includes the problems of environment of the Mediterranean region as well as the Caspian and Black Sea regions.

Two organizations of Kazkosmos - Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary NC JSC and Infrakos-Ekos Daughter Company are participating in the work of the Forum this year.

Welcoming the participants of the Forum Executive Secretary of the Kazakh Agency Yergazy Nurgaliyev noted that environmental problems had always been in spotlight of Kazkosmos. "The objectives of the ecological forum which brings together space development institutions are quite relevant today", he said.

The participants expressed great interest in a report of the President of Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary NC JSC, Candidate of Technical Sciences Gabdullatif Murzakulov which was devoted to creation of the Earth remote sensing system in Kazakhstan.

Experts of Infrakos-Ekos Company headed by its Director, PhD in Biology Zhailaubay Zhubatov presented a geo-information system of ecological monitoring of Baikonur launching site.

For the first time the Ecological Forum in Cyprus was attended by the experts from France and Germany.
