Kazkosmos Chairman checks out «Kazsat-3» Satellite manufacturing

ASTANA. November 19. KAZINFORM - Kazkosmos delegation headed by the Chairman of the National Space Agency (NSA) of Kazakhstan Talgat Mussabayev has paid a working visit to Krasnoyarsk (Russia), the press service of Kazkosmos informs.

Kazkosmos Chairman Talgat Musabayev and the Director of "Republican center of space communication" JSC (RTSKS) Victor Lefter visited Zheleznogorsk Russian enterprise "Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems' (ISS)" which is working on designing the Kazakh telecommunications spacecraft ''KazSat-3".

The meeting chaired by the deputy Head of the Russian Federal Space Agency Anatoly Shilov discussed the current work and the next stages of ''KazSat-3" project development.

The contract on designing and launching of ''KazSat-3" satellite was signed in June 20, 2011. Telecommunications satellite ''KazSat-3" is designed to meet the needs of Kazakhstan's market of television broadcasting, fixed-line telephony, Internet and data services. According to the agreement the satellite launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2014 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
