Kazkosmos and Roskosmos checked course of coop

MOSKOVSKAYA OBLAST. August 20. KAZINFORM /Sara Kabikyzy/ Chairman of the Kazakh National Space Agency Talgat Mussabayev met with his Russian counterpart, Head of the Federal Space Agency Roskosmos Anatoly Perminov. The meeting was held within the framework of the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS-2009) scheduled for August 17-23, 2009.

Opening the meeting A. Perminov noted positive dynamics of the relations and constructiveness of cooperation between the two space agencies. "Of course, there are some problems, but they are always discussed at such meetings and we always keep in touch", he said.

The Head of Kazkosmos thanked his colleague for invitation of the Kazakh delegation to MAKS-2009 Aviation and Space forum having highlighted active development of Kazakhstan-Russia cooperation in space development which could be possible due to the support of the countries' top-officials. "President of Kazakhstan has always been supporter of integration processes, especially in space activity development. There are no longer borders in the world than those between Russia and Kazakhstan as there is no analogue for the treaty on eternal friendship and cooperation between our states", T. Mussabayev said.

Delegations of Kazkosmos and Roskosmos focused on a number of topical issues including permission for the oncoming launch from Baikonur spaceposrt in accordance with Russia's federal space program, the course of development  of a bilateral agreement on permanent improvements at the facilities of Baikonur site, ecological accompanying of launch of carrier rockets at Baikonur and preparatory work for a regular 12th session of a sub-commission on Baikonur complex.
