Kazinform, Montsame news agencies ink cooperation agreement

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A cooperation agreement has been signed between Kazinform international news agency and Mongolia's Montsame news agency in Astana today. The document was inked by director general of Kazinform Dauren Diyarov and his colleague director general of Montsame Avia Baatarkhuyag.
Director general Dauren Diyarov noted that as the international news agency Kazinform strives to expand its presence in the global media space. "The cooperation agreement inked in Astana will help tell the Mongolian readership more about modern Kazakhstan and initiatives of our President," Mr. Diyarov stressed. In his words, there is lack of information about present-day life in Mongolia. "Hopefully, cooperation between the two agencies will fix that," he added. At the meeting, the sides also exchanged views and proposals on what can be done to step up cooperation between Kazinform and Montsame. Montsame is one of the first news agencies established in Mongolia. Founded back in 1921, it is headquartered in Ulaanbaatar.
