Kazatomprom to create science-intensive and high-quality productions on rare and rare-earth metals basis - V.Shkolnik

"In January the corresponding documents will be officially signed. On their basis Kazatomprom and Toshiba companies will start construction of six plants with release of the Korean production on the basis of rare and rare-earth metals", V.Shkolnik noted.

The Head of Kazatomprom informed that the company will create production of thermal pumping units on the basis of the Ulba Metallurgical Plant. These units introduction will allow to cut expenses on energy output production and reduce emissions of harmful substances. The production creation is planned in the second half of 2010. The volume of the project's financing makes up KZT 800 mln.

According to V.Shkolnik, production of wind driver generators is created on the basis of Mashzavod LLP. There was allocated USD 7 mln. It is expected to be put into commission in the 4th quarter of 2010.
