Kazatomprom develops solar power plants in the Middle East and North Africa - V. Shkolnik

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazatomprom together with Dutch and American partners is working to build solar power plants in the Middle East and North Africa, said Energy Minister Vladimir Shkolnik at the press conference after the meeting with the Minister of Economic Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Henk Kamp.
Shkolnik said that under the instruction of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev, over the last 2.5-3 years Kazakhstan has developed the whole work cycle on making solar panels. "At the moment we are working closely with the Dutch company ECN, which is one of the world leaders in the development and improvement of technologies to transform sunlight into electrical energy. We intend to work together in the Middle East, including in Qatar," said the Energy Minister. According to Shkolnik, there has been set up a group consisting of American, Dutch experts, as well as employees of Kazatomprom.
