Kazatomprom branch launches first solar power plant in Russia

ASTRAKHAN. KAZINFORM - Astana Solar Lpp has launched the first solar power plant in Russia's Astrakhan on the sidelines of the Caspian Summit, the press service of the company said.
The solar power plant Narimanov has a capacity of 250 kW. It started operation on September 29, 2014.
The SPP provides energy for the boiler of the thermal power plant which provides hot water for the town of Narimanov with a population of about 13,000. The area occupied by the SPP is 5,000 m2, Kazinform refers to AKI Press.
The generating system of the SPP consists of 1,060 solar modules with a peak power up to 240 W made by Astana Solar Lpp, an affiliate of the Kazatomprom national joint-stock company.
