Kazakhstan’s Tashkenbay suffers early defeat at International Boxing Tournament Strandja in Bulgaria

Kazakh boxer Sanzhar Tashkenbay was defeated at the International Boxing Tournament Strandja in Sofia, Bulgaria, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from Olympic.kz.
Tashkenbay represented Kazakhstan in the -48 kg weight category at the tournament.
During his match against Louis Rooney of Ireland, Tashkenbay was knocked down in the first round. After this, the Kazakh boxer, for reasons that are still unclear, decided to retire from the fight, wrapping it up early.
As reported earlier, Kazakhstan's boxers Aibek Oralbay and Bekzad Nurdauletov have successfully started their performance at the International Boxing Tournament Strandja 2025 in Sofia.
