Kazakhstan’s Gerassimenko helps Team Asia defeat World Team at Waldner Cup in Norway

The first Waldner Cup, which brought together veterans and current world table tennis stars, ended on December 15 in Norway, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.
The Asian team played against the World team. Team Asia included Kazakh table tennis player Kirill Gerassimenko, six-time Olympic champion Ma Long, Chen Meng, Woojin, Lim Jonghoon, Shin Yubin and Manika Batra.
The World team was represented by Jan-Ove Waldner, recognized by the International Table Tennis Federation as the best player of the 20th century, Truls Möregardh, Dimitrij Ovtcharov, Hugo Calderano, Adriana Diaz, and Bernadette Szőcs.
The Asian team defeated the World team with a score of 14:10.
