The primary industrial sectors contributed nearly identical shares, with mining at 46.1 percent and manufacturing at 46.5 percent. However, manufacturing served as the primary growth driver by expanding 9 percent, while mining production contracted by 5.2 percent.

Within the manufacturing sector, the highest growth was observed in the production of fabricated metal products (up 46.6 percent), pharmaceuticals (up 26.6 percent), rubber and plastic products (24.9 percent), machinery manufacturing (up 22.2 percent), and food production (up 14.3 percent). Positive dynamics were also recorded in the energy and water supply sectors, where growth rates exceeded 9-12 percent.

The decline in the mining sector is mainly driven by the reduction in oil (down 10.2 percent) and natural gas (down 8.7 percent) production, which continues to exert pressure on the overall industrial production.

National industrial growth remains uneven, yet 15 regions reported production gains. The standout performers include Turkistan (up 31.9 percent), Zhetysu (up 27.6 percent), Almaty (up 25.4 percent), North Kazakhstan (up 19.9 percent), and Zhambyl (up 17.9 percent), alongside an 11.5 percent rise in Astana.

A decrease in production was reported in five regions, including West Kazakhstan (down 11 percent), Atyrau (down 9.2 percent), Akmola (down 8.3 percent), East Kazakhstan (down 4 percent), and Aktobe (down 0.4 percent) regions.

Earlier, Qazinform reported Kazakhstan’s construction market grows by 13.4%.
