Kazakhstan’s Rybakina to vie against world No. 4 Jasmine Paolini at WTA Finals Riyadh first bout in Saudi Arabia

World No. 5 Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan will play against Italy’s Jasmine Paolini (ranked 4th) in her first bout at the WTA Finals Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.
The score of personal meetings of the two athletes is 3-2 in favor of Paolini. Their last match was held at the Roland Garros 2024, where the Italian tennis player defeated Rybakina with a score of 6:2, 4:6, 6:4.
The Kazakh-Italian duel is scheduled to take place on November 2 after Aryna Sabalenka/Zheng Qinwen match.
Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina hasn't participated in the tournaments since August 2024.
The WTA Finals Riyadh is set to run in Saudi Arabia between November 1-8.
