Kazakhstan’s Bublik off to good start at ATP 250 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

7th-seed Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan won the opening match at the ATP 250 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in the UAE, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.
The Kazakhstani eliminated Czech qualifier Tomas Machac in three sets 2-6, 6-3, 7-6. The match lasted for almost two hours.
During the match Bublik fired 7 aces and made 6 double faults against 3 aces and 3 double faults of his opponent.
Next Bublik will face Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands. Currently the Kazakhstani leads their head to head rivalry 3-0.
Another Kazakhstani Alexander Shevchenko is expected to kick off his Dubai campaign against top seed Dmitry Medvedev.
