Kazakhstanis urged to keep family archives
He urged people of Kazakhstan to preserve family documents, photos and videos. "Every family has important documents, photos, videos that captured the most important events in their lives. Family is the most important unit of society," noted Mirbolat Jakypov on the sidelines of the meeting of the XV Eurasian Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives. According to him, the National Archival Fund of the country consists not only of public documents but of the important documents of each family. Therefore it is necessary to keep these documents. "Every state archive has created personal funds. There we collect materials, documents about our outstanding compatriots," he said. Mirbolat Jakypov stressed that Kazakhstan's archival system is developing at a good pace.
