Kazakhstanis to take part in 5th meeting of US-Central Asian TIFA Council

ASTANA. October 5. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ The Kazakhstanis will take part in the fifth meeting of the Council of the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) between the USA, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Kazakh Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Zhanar Aitzhanova will head our delegation. The event will be held in Washington on October 7-8. Kazakh MFA's official spokesperson Yerzhan Ashikbayev has announced it.
"This agreement foresees measures on international trade expansion and foreign investments attraction to Central Asia, and tuning up trade relations between the Central Asian states and Afghanistan", the Kazakh MFA's press service notes.
The Council is called to conduct monitoring in the trade and investments sphere, determine opportunities on their expansion, and consider issues connected with intellectual property and environment protection.
