Kazakhstanis paid tribute to Great Patriotic War heroes in Austria

VIENNA. May 10. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ On Victory Day, May 9 Kazakhstanis residing in Austria commemorated the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and laid flowers to the main memorials in this Central European state.
In the Federal Province of Upper Austria in the memorial museum of World War II, located at the former concentration camp Mauthausen, Kazakh diplomats and their family members paid tribute to our compatriots who fought and died on Austrian soil in WWII.
Last year, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Vienna in cooperation with the Austrian Boltzmann Institute for the Study of the Consequences of War found out the names of 980 Kazakhstanis and found more than 200 graves of our countrymen who gave their lives in the struggle against fascism in Austria.
Kazakh students studying in the Austrian capital laid flowers to the monument to the Soldier Liberator in Vienna.
