Five polling stations have been opened in Russia — in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Astrakhan, and Omsk.

The Moscow station has seen high voter activity since polling began. Citizens are arriving at the Embassy to exercise their right to vote.

Among those who have already voted in Moscow is Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Observers have praised how the electoral process was organized, highlighting good voter information, accurate voter rolls, well-prepared venues, and the smooth operation of the polling station commission.

Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstanis are voting in Brussels and London as Qurultay elections continue abroad.

Kazakhstan's first-ever elections for deputies of the country's new unicameral Qurultay began on August 23. Polling stations opened across the country, with voting set to continue until 8:00 p.m.

Kazakhstanis are voting for one of seven political parties participating in the elections. Following the vote, seats in the Qurultay will be distributed among the parties that surpass the legally established threshold.
