Kazakhstani university earns 14th spot in QS EECA University Rankings
The new edition of the QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe and Central Asia was launched at a conference in Budapest, Hungary. It features the top 100 universities from the EECA region. Russia's Lomonosov Moscow State University takes the top spot in the new ranking, followed by the Czech Republic's Charles University, which shares second spot with another Russian university, Novosibirsk State University. It is worth mentioning that Russian universities dominate the ranking with 26 entries. The Czech Republic and Turkey are represented by 10 universities each. Poland and Kazakhstan have nine and eight entries respectively. Hungary and Ukraine have six apiece. This is the first ever university ranking entirely dedicated to the EECA region.
