Kazakhstani theatres see up to 1.5mln visits since start of year
Kazakhstan’s 57 state theatres have staged 7,457 plays with a total of 1,501,418 visits since the start of the year, Kazinform News Agency cites the Kazakh culture and information ministry.

According to the ministry, since the beginning of 2024, 170 premieres have been staged.
The Kazakh State Academic Theatre for Children and Youth named after Gabit Mussrepov and the National Russian Theatre of Drama named after Mikhail Lermontov gathered over 70,000 visitors each in the first half of this year.
A total of 64,291 theatre lovers visited the Mukhtar Auezov Kazakh National Drama Theatre.
The Abai Kazakh National Theatre of Opera and Ballet attracted up to 50 thousand spectators, wrapping up its 90th anniversary season with a new production of La Sylphide ballet.
The Akmola Regional Russian Drama Theater presented most of premieres – 10 new productions.
In six months of this year, theatre artists conducted 218 tours, of which 201 in Kazakhstan and 17 abroad, including South Korea, Türkiye, France, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
