Kazakhstani national flag proudly flies over Wall Street

ASTANA. March 25. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's traditional New Year started on the positive note in New York. On the occasion of Nowruz holiday, on 23 March our national flag was run up over Wall Street, the heart of the New York City financial district, the press release of the Kazakh consulate general in New York reads.
The flag was hoisted to the strains of the Kazakh national anthem. Representatives of the consulate general in New York and the Kazakh Cultural Center that had organized the flag-raising ceremony addressed the participants.
The Kazakhstani flag will proudly fly over Manhattan for several days.
"This was the first time we had raised our flag in the New York City financial center. I hope this event will set up a wonderful tradition and reflect the growing role of Kazakhstan in the world," said Kadyr Kayupov, the vice consul.
