Kazakhstani Kairat Tuntekov ranks sixth following first day of New Wave-2010 contest in Jūrmala

ALMATY. July 29. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ Following the first day of the young stars contest in Jūrmala New Wave 2010 which started July 27, Kazakhstani singer Kairat Tuntekov ranks the sixth together with Brazilian singer Gabriella. They got 91 scores, the Russian mass media informs.
Tatyana Shirko from Ukraine performed Celin Dion's song "All by myself" and ranks the first among all contestants having received 96 scores. A singer from Israel is the second and an Armenian singer is the third.
Today the contestants will perform national songs. As is known, Kairat Tuntekov wil sing Kazakh national song Naz konyr in modern arrangement.
The final competition will take place August 1.
