Kazakhstan, World Bank agree to deepen cooperation
At the meeting in the Akorda presidential residence, Ms Abdykalikova stressed the importance of implementation of joint investment projects that should be aligned with goals and tasks of the new economic policy "Nurly zhol - Path to the Future" initiated by President Nursultan Nazarbayev. "In accordance with the new economic policy, Kazakhstan will implement a plan of infrastructural development. Further development of human capital will go hand in hand with the new five-year program of industrial and innovative development," the Kazakh Secretary of State said. In her words, transfer of high technologies and knowledge is also of paramount importance in the light of the new policy. Ms Abdykalikova and Ms Butenko also touched upon the issues related to implementation of the World Bank - Kazakhstan partnership program. An important outcome of the meeting was that the sides agreed to deepen cooperation in joint projects aimed at the development of human capital, stimulation of science and innovations, and development of work skills meeting the requirements of labor market. Recall that the Government of Kazakhstan and the World Bank Group signed framework partnership agreement in May 2014.
