Kazakhstan won't cut length of school summer, winter holidays - Vice Minister

Vice Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Yessengazy Imangaliyev announced at a Tuesday session of Majilis, lower chamber of the Kazakh Parliament, that the length of the school summer and winter holidays will not be changed. "As for dates of school summer and winter holidays, there are no plans to change them," he said. Rumors were swirling that Kazakhstan would reduce the long school summer holidays. Minister of Education and Science Aslan Sarinzhipov held a press conference in August to squash the rumors and reassure that the ministry had no plans to cut the length of summer holidays.
