KAZINFORM - Kazakh grain will be delivered through Egypt to the Persian Gulf and Africa, this has been announced today by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Kazakhstan Haytham Kamel Ibrahim Salah after presenting his credentials to the President of Kazakhstan in Akorda.

"The relations between our countries are developing at a high level. A terminal for grain storage and international logistics center has been constructed in the city of Damietta. This center aims at providing the Middle East, the Persian Gulf and Africa with grain. At the same time it will create new export opportunities for Kazakhstan," said the Ambassador. According to his words, the international logistics center will be located in an area of 3,1 million square meters. The project's cost is $ 2.5 billion. At the initial stage, it will store about 7.5 million tons of grain per year, and in the future, its capacity will be increased to 65 million tons," said Haytham Kamel Ibrahim Salah.
