Kazakhstan wheat exports hit 3.13 mln tons in Jan-Aug
Kazakhstan’s wheat exports decreased by 39.2% in January-August this year, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev told the Government meeting, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Experts say wheat production is predicted to drop in Europe, South Africa and Ukraine due to unfavorable weather conditions. At the same time, Russia’s export potential in 2024-2025 will reach 53 million tons that is 10.1% less than in the previous season.
Kazakhstan’s wheat exports reduced by 39.2% to stand at 3.13 million tons due to low yield last year and rising competition in conventional export markets. He also stressed a reduction in geographical destinations for wheat exports. The key export markets including Italy, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Russia by times reduced Kazakhstan’s wheat consumption.
As earlier reported, Kazakhstan threshed 26.5 million tons of grain so far against 17.1 million recorded last year.
Notably, Kazakhstan’s wheat exports to China hit 2 mln tons.
