Kazakhstan wants to speed up extradition of criminals from the UAE

ASTANA. October 4. KAZINFORM Prosecutor's General Office of Kazakhstan is determined to speed up extradition of criminals from the United Arab Emirates.
First Deputy of Prosecutor General Iogan Merkel said while speaking with journalists on Thursday (October 4).
In the near future reps of Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry and Prosecutor's General Office plan to visit the United Arab Emirates to agree the speeding-up of extradition of some citizens of Kazakhstan accused of committing crimes in Kazakhstan, according to I. Merkel.
For instance, Anar Meshimbayeva, former Chairperson of the Agency for Statistics, is one of the alleged criminals. She is charged with theft of extremely large amounts of money allotted for population census in 2009.
The extradition agreement between Kazakhstan and the UAE was ratified on April 12, 2012.
