Kazakhstan wants to rise in Logistics Performance Index

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The recent State-of-the-Nation Address by President Nursultan Nazarbayev is innovative because it presents the linchpin of new economic policy.
Doctor of Technological Sciences Alexey Tsekhovoy voiced such opinion at a press conference at the KazMedia Center on Monday. "The presidential address is innovative because it presents the linchpin of Kazakhstan's new economic policy. This is a plan of infrastructural development," Dr. Tsekhovoy said. He also added that ‘the address brings transport and logistics infrastructure into the spotlight.' "Kazakhstan is currently ranked 88th in the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index. The ranking is topped by Germany. We need to do something to reduce the gap and rise in the ranking," he added.
