Kazakhstan - Turkmenistan intergovernmental commission convenes in Ashgabat
On October 2 the 13th session of the Kazakhstan - Turkmenistan intergovernmental commission for economic, scientific and technical, and cultural cooperation was held in Ashgabat. It was co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Executive Office of the Kazakh Government Galymzhan Koishybayev and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdayev, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Government’s press service.

Those present shared views on issues debated at the last meeting of the commission held last May in Astana and focused on the prospects for the development of trade and economic ties, cooperation in agriculture, transportation and logistics, finance, education and culture, and oil and gas sectors.
The sides expressed confidence that decisions taken at the meeting will contribute to further widening and deepening of bilateral ties.
A protocol was signed following the meeting.
Recall that President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Astana for a working visit to take part in the Central Asia – Germany Summit.
