Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran open new railway line

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has participated in the opening ceremony of the new railway line Uzen-Bereket-Gorgan today.
Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov and Hassan Rouhani took part in the ceremony as well. The Uzen-Bereket-Gorgan railway line is a part of the new North-South railway corridor. This project is being carried out within the framework of the declaration signed by the leaders of three countries. The new trade route is expected to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran.
