Kazakhstan & Turkey agree to continue application of guaranteed motor vehicles freight mechanism

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries for Transport and Communications, customs services, international association of carriers of Kazakhstan and Turkey.

During the round table the sides reported each other on the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.

Following the talks the parties agreed to continue the application of the mechanism for secure downloading of Kazakhstani vehicles in Turkey.

It should be noted that the exchange of permission forms for freight will be carried out in two stages.

After the application of the mechanism in the current year there occurred an increase of Kazakhstan's share of traffic between the two countries. Thus, for six months in 2013 the share of domestic carriers in the market of bilateral traffic was about 20% compared to the same period in 2011.
