Kazakhstan took part in ITB-2015 in Berlin

The delegation consisted of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Investment and Development, administrations of the regions and cities of the country, "Astana EXPO-2017" JSC, travel agencies, service sphere and other jewelry sector.

This year, more than 10 thousand different stands from over 180 world countries are exhibited at the event.

The commissioner took part in the 5 th meeting of the tourist ministers of the Silk Road countries of the UNWTO and presented a plan on development of tourism in Kazakhstan, told about the role of Kazakhstan in realization of the tourist potential of the Silk Road and about the main provisions of the President's Address "Nurly Zhol".

R. Zhoshybayev informed the participants of the meeting about the preparation for the international exhibition EXPO-2015 noting that the exhibition in Astana would become a locomotive of development of tourism in Kazakhstan and the entire region.

The head of the Kazakhstan delegation together with Secretary General of the UNWTO Taleb Rifai took part in opening of the stand of Kazakhstan within the ITB-2015. In his welcome speech, T. Rifai emphasized the importance of holding the EXPO-2017 in Astana in the context of increasing inflow of tourists to Kazakhstan, development of the infrastructure of the city and stressed the intention of the UNWTO to support Kazakhstan in this sphere.

The presentation of the Kazakhstan pavilion drew great interest from the visitors of the event, who had an opportunity to familiarize with the national cuisine, national dances, national music and musical instruments and the culture of the Kazakhs in general.
