Kazakhstan to support UNCHR efforts in the region

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Kazakh Senate Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Regional Coordinator for Central Asia at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Mr. Bernard Doyle at his request, the Upper Chamber's press service said.
The Kazakh Speaker congratulated Bernard Doyle on his appointment wishing him success. "Kazakh parliamentarians are ready to render all-round support to the UNCHR efforts in the region," he stressed. Tokayev also highlighted Kazakhstan's interest in active collaboration with the UN organizations in an effort to achieve the UN goals and fulfill tasks aimed at ensuring steady development. The speaker drew attention to the Astana Economic Forum, World Anti-crisis Conference and CICA Summit in Shanghai ahead. The mentioned forums and other foreign policy events initiated by Kazakhstan, as Tokayev said, speak for growing international authority of Kazakhstan.
