Kazakhstan to submit EXPO-2017 registration dossier to BIE within a week
The session gave consideration and approved the draft Registration dossier. CEO of the company Talgat Yermegiyayev briefed those present about the informative part of the dossier, its sections about the financial measures and legal status of the organizer, and master plan.
"The dossier is a plan according to which the EXPO-2017 event will be held in Astana, it consists of eight sections," Mr. Yermegiyayev said.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs - Commissioner of the International specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017" Rapil Zhoshybayev and Deputy Minister of Regional Development Serik Nokin reported on the preparations.
R. Zhoshybayev noted that 126 countries are to participate and more than 2.5 million tourists are to attend the grandiose exhibition in the Kazakh capital.
According to Minister of Transport and Communications Askar Zhumagaliyev, it is planned to double the Astana airport capacity.
Prime Minister Akhmetov instructed "National Company "Astana "EXPO-2017" JSC in conjunction with the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan to send the dossier to the Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE) within one week.
In addition, the Premier charged to work out the strategy of "National Company "Astana "EXPO-2017" JSC.
