Kazakhstan to provide humanitarian aid to Nepal

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev has chaired a session of the Commission for issues of international humanitarian aid today, Kazinform has learnt from primeminister.kz.
Held at the Ukimet Uiy, the session mainly focused on providing of the humanitarian aid to countries that are in need. Given the horrific situation in Nepal after a major earthquake that killed thousands of people, the Commission recommended the Government of Kazakhstan to provide $200,000 in official humanitarian aid to help with relief efforts in this country. The money will be allotted from the emergency reserve of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Commission also made a decision to recommend the Government to provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in the form of tents, food, blankets and warm clothes.
