Kazakhstan to open more family-type orphanages by 2020

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - 9 family-type orphanages will be opened by 2020 in Kazakhstan, Chairwoman of the Committee for Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zabira Orazaliyeva announced at the Thursday press briefing.
"Utmost attention is paid to the development of children's homes in the country. Together with the competent authorities, we are to create new children's villages and family-type homes. 9 family-type orphanages and family-type villages will be built by 2020 across the country," she said. According to her, presently there are 16 children's homes and 11 family-type villages in Kazakhstan.
