Kazakhstan to launch Junior Hockey League

Top managers of Kazakhstan's ice hockey clubs gathered in Astana on Wednesday to discuss the establishment of a league at the junior hockey level. The meeting chaired by Director General of Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation Yuri Zverev focused on the league's structure, regulations and other relevant issues. It was decided that regulations of the new league will be drawn up by year-end. Promising teams that will join the league in the nearest future will complete annually for Kazakhstan's Cup. Pucksters aged 16-21 are eligible to join.
