In 2010 Kazakhstan launched two car-assembling complexes. To date their number is four and they are located in Ust Kamenogorsk, Kostanay (production of South Korea's SsangYong off-road vehicles), Almaty and Almaty oblast (assembling Korean and Japanese auto vehicles).

According to the Chairman of Atameken Union, foreign investors prefer to work in Kazakhstan because of the Customs Union's market. Due to this, one more car assembling venture is planned to be launched in our country this year.

A. Peruashev outlined the major objectives of development of the country's car making industry. The most important thing is to sell the cars assembled in Kazakhstan and to withstand competition.

The second objective is activation of consumer lending by the second-tier banks, to let our citizens get money for buying cars, in particular, domestic ones.

A. Peruashev underlined high quality of these cars and also stressed necessity of providing them with good home-produced fuel and oil.

In this view, the Chairman of Atameken Union raised the issue of starting production of Euro-5 fuel in Kazakhstan and engine oils.
