Kazakhstan pilots Digital Nomad Residency program
Kazakhstan has presented its Digital Nomad Residency pilot program which offers new opportunities for foreign IT professionals, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry.

The goal of the program is to attract foreign IT talents for work and permanent residency in the country and to become a part of its rapidly developing digital economy.
The Digital Nomad Residency program offers possibility to get a permanent residence permit in Kazakhstan in a simplified mode.
“Applicants should obtain Kazakhstan's Individual Identification Number (IIN) and an electronic digital signature to apply for a petition from a sectoral government agency on the compliance with the list of in-demand professions. Other documents include a copy of passport, a CV, a portfolio, a letter of motivation, a certificate of good conduct and a photo. Then the applicants receive an approval from the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, which confirms their qualification and a status of an IT specialist. After then, the applicants should apply for a preliminary approval of the permanent residence permit through the eGov.kz portal,” a statement from the Ministry reads.
The application review period is 45 calendar days. After that, the foreign specialists may arrive in Kazakhstan and finalize the procedure in the public service centers.
