Kazakhstan to launch 190 projects in processing industry in 2025

The projects are estimated at 1.5 trillion tenge, Kazinform News Agency quotes Minister of Industry and Construction Yersaiyn Nagaspayev as saying at thew government’s weekly meeting today.

The minister reminded of the President’s instruction set at the government’s Jan 28 extended meeting on ensuring growth of processing industry.

According to him, 190 projects worth 1.5 trillion tenge will be commissioned this year in Kazakhstan. The implementation of 417 projects worth over 15.3 trillion tenge has already been launched.

The projects will be financed through the attraction of both private investment and the funds of the second-tier banks and development institutions.

The issue of financing processing industry to the amount of 1.1 trillion tenge is being explored now.

“In particular, 183.5 billion tenge are needed for the implementation of major projects through the Development Bank of Kazakhstan. 800 billion tenge is needed for 2025-2028 for the implementation of small and medium projects through the Industry Development Fund, including some 100 billion tenge for the financing of small industrial areas,” Yersaiyn Nagaspayev said.

In his words, these measures will let ensure industrial growth, create new jobs and raise competitiveness of economy.

Besides, according to the minister, 109 billion tenge is needed for the leasing of vehicles through the Industry Development Fund for 2025-2026.

“As a result, some 900 new buses and more than 800 units of special equipment for emergency and utilities services will be supplied in the nearest two years,” he added.
