Kazakhstan to issue highly secure ID documents

Minister of Internal Affairs Kalmukhanbet Kassymov announced the news at the government's hour at Majilis, lower chamber of the Kazakh Parliament, on Monday. "We've scrupulously worked on that issue for about a year. We've purchased and installed new equipment and developed new highly secure ID documents," Minister Kassymov said. According to him, Kazakhstanis can obtain the new type of ID documents with color portraits starting from December 1, 2014. "The new ID documents with color portraits will offer good protection against subsequent manipulation and forgery," he added.
