Kazakhstan to export above 10 mln tons of grain in 2011

TANA. September 27. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan is expected to export above 10 mln tons of grain this year, Agriculture Minister Asylzhan Mamytbekov told.
Central Asian countries, Afghanistan, Iran, traditional buyers of Kazakh grain, may import about 6 mln tons, the rest 4 mln tons should be sold to the Baltic and Black Sea countries, the Minister stated.
As earlier reported, this year it is planned to reap 16.2 mln ha of grain the countrywide. 12.8 mln ha of grain or 79% of cropping area have been threshed. Thereat, the average grain yield hits 15.8 centner/ha this year that is 7.1 centner/ha is more against the 2010 figures.
