Kazakhstan to establish transplantation centre

ASTANA. May 16. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakhstan plans to establish a Transplantation Centre. Director General of the National Research Medical Centre JSC Abay Baigenzhin has made it public at a conference held in the Ministry of Healthcare today.
"We have already initiated the idea of building this clinic on the ground of the National Research Medical Centre, and all necessary documents are ready. We have submitted them for consideration", A. Baigenzhin said.
In his opinion, a National Bureau of Transplants should be established in this Centre. Besides, specialized laboratories should be opened and production infrastructure should be developed. "The legislation aimed at legal protection of the doctors should be amended", he noted. "Because the issues of using the dead patients' organs have not been regulated yet", A. Baigenzhin added.
