Kazakhstan to enjoy preferential regime for car import - First Vice PM U. Shukeyev

TANA.  June 1. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakhstan like Belarus will enjoy preferential regime while importing cars. First Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev has announced it at a roundtable on the Customs Union in Astana today.

"We have decided to apply Belarusian system which, in our opinion, protects namely those groups of population who face lack of funds for purchase of new expensive cars", Shukeyev noted.

The preferential regime provides for floating rates depending on engine capacity and the year of the car's production. The regime also fixes preferential rates for the cars aged 3-10.
