Kazakhstan to develop coop with General Electric - Nazarbayev

ANA. July 3. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ Taking part in the opening of a new locomotive assembly plant in Astana President of Kazakhstan has announced about the intention to expand cooperation with the American company General Electric.
The President noted about three more projects to be realized with the company.
President and CEO of GE Transportation Lorenzo Simonelli said that "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC and his company had a long-term successful history of cooperation aimed at speeding up development of Kazakhstan's economy through creation of modern and effective railroad infrastructure.
"In may 2009 General Electric announced about signing of 15-year service agreement to the amount of USD 500 million for further improvement of locomotive functioning", official press release of the company reads.
